This has actually injected new life into my guild, so if anything I'm enjoying "life after 30" more.

How about you just take a break?
Seriously. Stop playing the game or posting in forums for two full weeks. I dare you.

/agree. also, i would accept skillz as a pvp title.

uh, why are you playing the game then?
On one hand, I agree that the rewards should be light after 30. However, since all of the rewards are completely astetic anyway (to my knowledge...), I think it would be fine if the rewards after 30 included a weapon skin, mini pet skin, or armor skin rather than a title.

As I have said before, I'm very reward oriented. I havent title farmed much, except for PvE rank skills and a few others. I'm at 45/50 and I need 9 more titles to get 50/50. Not much motivation to finish just for a title that only gives you bragging rights.
|
I really hope they don't. I like that the item rewards stop at 30, an attainable goal for me. I don't want the temptation to grind further.
Pretty impressive that you made 45/50 without much title farming. I imagine all the items are just about bragging rights. They probably won't be more powerful than stuff you can find in game in GW2.

Well I had 49 points when I first checked and only had to add one oppressor weapon to the HoM for the big 50, so I kind of get what the OP is talking about. There's not much left for me to do, but I can complete unfinished collections if I feel like grinding for funds (mostly oppressor weapons and some armor sets), then wait for GW2.
I wouldn't mind more rewards in the 30-50 range, although there should certainly be less of them then on levels 1-30. Perhaps one small reward for every 5 levels.

Yea considering that the only time i've set foot in pvp is to unlock up to HA and get zaishen elite(if that can be called pvp xD).
So yea, the ability to buy my pvp titles really caused me to breathe a deep sigh of relief. B/c without it i'd be kind of scrwed.. conisidering my internet ping is too high for any kind of competative PvP >.>

I was in the same position u were. I was 49/50 at first check...only thing I was missing was reg animal companion which took all of 1 min to put in HoM.
I am however perfectly content with everything as is. I will continue to grind some titles even though I have gwamm just b/c I already have come 90% of the way on them. I could care less that maxed lux/kurz etc don't count as PvP titles, specially since I 600/smite'd both of em. I am however exceedingly happy that zaishen counts for PvP, b/c I detest PvP with a passion.
Probably like others have said, I will try to help guildies and friends acheive the rewards they want. That in itself is pretty rewarding.

I sort of envy you guys, but I sort of don't. I have small (albeit boring grindish) reasons to play still. I will get from 25 to 30 soon, but then I might still try to get my koabd up.

I'm just carrying on as normal. I had a lot of things I wanted to accomplish before this news and I sitill want to acomplish them after. I can just see what rewards I will be getting for certain accomplishments, which is nice.
So what if GWAMM/X Title doesn't get you anything extra fancy in GW2? It is the journey getting there that is the fun part. For me anyway.

Awww, what a shame (not really). I remember when people played video games without any dumb titles or rewards. They played video games because they found them entertaining.
But no, today video games are jobs.

I don't think I have ever lost interest in the game. I don't think anyone could seriously say that have completed..EVERYTHING in Guild Wars. If they can.....kudos to them. I personally need to go back and complete all the quests I skipped..and maybe read the dialogue that I probably skipped. Heck I didn't even know about Dunkoro's son in Nightfall until a few months ago because I skipped so many cut scenes...lol.

Yah I went through the process of obtaining all the warrior tormented weapons so I would be 'prepared' for GW2 (which is a big deal when you're hot a no life farmer) as well as aiming for KoABD. Now I've just sort of stopped seeing as I'm at 35/50 and don't really care about being called Flameseeker/whatever over Ghostly Hero.

I agree with this completely as well. If you aren't finding the game fun anymore....maybe its time to take a break and go find something else to do.
I think too many people forget to be creative with gaming. Look at the game in a different angle...perhaps. For example: Try doing Thunderhead Keep...only using Prophecy Skills and Henchmen. ( Especially the players who started after Nightfall..aka Heroes) It might give you a challenge...or not. It would be interesting to see the outcome though

What is it with some people bashing others for going for hard-to-get achievements? Even if you do not have the time or inclination to do the same, you can surely see that some people do. It's all about preference, your fun is not the same as their fun. They clearly enjoy what they do otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. And you ain't gonna convince them to change their habits.
By the way, this isn't aimed at anyone in particular, just a general tendency I see among players.

Playing a game is pointless. You do not get anything out of it. People still enjoy playing games. Do you see what I'm getting at?

I'd rename the thread for Life after 50 points as I believe ppl like myself feel even more dissapointed with the HoM rewards Calculator stopped at 50 pts!
